has always been an exceptional companion.
often reminds me of how I should try to live, be happy, and to enjoy
the little things in life.
has a great passion for flyball. I never would have guessed a dog
could be so competitive; he has a fire in his eye when he runs.
He has been a top competitor and always gives it everything he has.
and his aussie friend Luke have been inseparable from the day we
brought Augie home. The three of us do everything together. Augie
loves going to the park to chase balls or catch Frisbees almost
as much as playing flyball.
is Augie's spirit that gives him the energy to fight the Thrombocytopenia
he contracted soon after his Proheart 6 injection.
(Editors Note: I learned about Augie, long before he received this
six month injection,and then of his problems afterwards. Unfortunately,
the Guardian can no longer speak of him, except to say he died August
7, 2003, "My life has not been the same since. I miss him every
day and have cried buckets of tears. My heart is broken. I love
you Stoey. I miss your big lion.")
